Dropship FAQs

NOTE: Discounts and shipping costs are automatically calculated by the shopping cart.

Please note that we DO NOT ship same day due to the labour intensive nature of Own Label service (labels are printed and pots labelled on a per-order basis).
It's not simple a matter of picking and packing a ready-labelled product for an order.
Therefore, orders you place are normally shipped the next business day. 


How does the dropship service work?
Our dropship service is automatically available to all trade customers and is provided free of charge (we do not charge a fulfilment or pick and pack fee). All you pay is the postage fee which is based on the total order weight, destination etc (see below).

Dropshipping your orders involves the following steps:

  1. You advertise our products (using our labels or your own labels) on your website or through other advertising methods.
  2. Your customer places an order with you on your website and pays you your retail price, e.g. £13.99.
  3. You then send us your customer’s order (using one of our order processing options) and pay the trade price for the product, e.g. £5.99.​

Your profit is therefore the retail price you charged your customer, less the trade price you paid us, e.g. £13.99 less £5.99 = £8.00 (this example does not take into account postage charges, VAT etc).

NOTE: After you click the CHECKOUT button on our shopping cart, fill in the form as follows:

  • Your details in the BILLING ADDRESS section (these are saved).
  • Your customer’s details in the DELIVERY ADDRESS section.
  • Select the 'This is a dropship order to a customer' option.

We then dropship the order for you, directly to your customer. They will think it has come directly from you! You will receive automatic email notification when you place the order and when the order has been dispatched.

  • Each dropship order will contain the products you ordered and a Delivery Note which you can customise with your company details and logo (this is an additional service which can be purchased - click here for details)

What is your minimum order amount?

We DO NOT have a minimum order requirement. You can order 1 pot or 1000 pots.

Can we simply email you our orders from our shopping system, instead of placing the dropship order on this website?
NO, we do not accept emailed orders. For all available order processing options, please click here.

Can you dropship orders with our own labels on the products, if we have our own label with you?
YES, orders will be shipped with your labels at no extra charge - test out the shopping cart as there are certain fields you have to fill in before completing the order.

PLEASE NOTE: Orders posted to yourself are NOT dropship orders. If you post an order to yourself / the same address as the trade account holder, this is not a dropship order. Only orders shipped to your customers are treated as dropship orders by us.

Orders shipped to yourself or your company (even to another address) are treated as bulk orders, even if the order is for just 1 pot. Please also read the Own Label FAQs regarding labelling of bulk orders for Own Label customers.

Can you ship to Amazon FBA?
YES, we are able to ship to Amazon FBA (Amazon's fulfilment / shipping service). 

Can you ship to the USA and Canada?
We do not ordinarily ship bulk orders by courier to the USA or Canada (only small dropship orders up to around 2kg). However, we can make exceptions and this can be assessed on a case by case basis. Please create a ticket for the Orders team if required.

When shipping bulk orders outside the UK & EU, the courier fees are determined by total weight and box dimensions. As we look for the cheapest bulk order shipping fee for you after the order is packed, we will advise you of the cost before your order is shipped. Please read the pop-up box on the shopping cart when checking out.

Is there a minimum order if I have my own labels made up to be applied to the pots?
NO, we can dropship or post as few as 1 item for you with your own label, as labels are printed and manually applied to each pot as orders are placed. However please note, if you are getting your labels printed by a third party (rather than us), we cannot apply these for you - you would have to order blank pots from us and then apply these labels yourself. If you make use of our Own Label service, we do this for you free of charge.

What type of packaging are the orders packed into / shipped in?
Orders are packed into discreet padded envelopes or boxes, depending on the order size and destination.

Are any of your company details (Specialist Supplements Ltd) or advertising literature added to the dropship orders or packaging?
NO, all of our customer dropship orders are delivered with discreet delivery packaging. We just include a simple (unbranded) compliment slip with the following wording:

"Shipping Service: Thank you for your order! Please find enclosed the product(s) you ordered. ".

Can you include any of our personalised literature with the dropship order?
We are not able to include materials supplied by you, as we are not a fully-equipped fulfilment company and do not charge a monthly admin fee (unlike fulfilment companies). However, we do offer the option to include personalised delivery notes and messages with every order. Click here for more information.

This option allows you to fully customise the delivery notes with your contact details and a logo or image. You can also type in a personalised message to your dropship customer during the order checkout process, e.g. with a coupon code to be used on their next purchase from you.

Which countries do you dropship to?
We can dropship orders worldwide, to any country - test out the shopping cart. For parcels being shipped outside the UK and EU, the relevant customs declaration sticker is applied as required by the post office. We declare the contents as 'Food Supplements' and use the maximum permitted Total Value (varies according to destinations) before extra charges are incurred.

What is the shipping charge on normal dropship orders within the UK?
Click here for all shipping rates. It currently costs from of £2.05 + VAT per dropship order, depending on order weight, total order value and delivery service. The shopping cart will calculate the final rate at checkout. 

For UK dropship orders to customers, you can choose from a few posting options, e.g. Royal Mail 1st class, 2nd class post, Recorded Delivery etc.

How much does it cost to post outside the UK?
This depends on the destination country and order weight. The shipping cost is worked out for you when you place the order. Click here to test out the shopping cart.

How long after I place an order do you dispatch?
The order could be shipped the same day, but it is normally within 1 to 2 business days (depending on when the order is placed, size of order etc).

How do I know if an order I placed online has been shipped?
You will receive a confirmation email (please make sure that the email address you supply is correct). You can also check the status of your orders through your account on this website.

How many days for delivery within the UK?
It depends on Royal Mail (not us) and the postal service you choose to use. For example:

  • 1st class post normally takes between 1 and 3 business days for delivery.
  • Royal Mail 2nd class post takes from 2 to 5 business days to reach an address.

If you place a trade order and it weighs over 1kg, we ship it via courier. This is normally next day delivery.

How many days for delivery outside the UK (e.g. to places such as USA, Australia etc?)
It normally takes between 4 and 7 business days for delivery outside the UK. However, this depends on a number of factors, such as potential delays by customs at the destination country, their internal mail delivery timeframes etc. See the Royal Mail website for details

Can we track orders?
Only if you select to have your order posted via the Royal Mail Recorded Signed For delivery service (see below). Outside UK recorded delivery post is only tracked to the UK border, not to a signature in another country (this is Royal Mail policy).

I placed an order for shipping to a country outside the United Kingdom, but it says "No shipping options are available. Please contact us for assistance!" - why has this happened?
If you see this message during the checkout process, it may be that the total order weight is too heavy to be shipped to the country you specified as a single parcel order (this does not apply to UK orders). Either reduce the number of items and place 2 or more smaller orders to the same person. See the Trade Price List for the product weight per item.

What is your customer returns policy?
1) We do not accept returns for refunds from your customers, as we do not and cannot control your product advertising, marketing and product claims. However, we will obviously exchange damaged, faulty or incorrectly posted items.

2) If a parcel is returned to the dispatch unit due to non-collection by your customer, we will notify you - you can choose to be refunded (less the shipping costs) or have the parcel shipped again (you will have to pay the shipping costs again).

Royal Mail parcel tracking
To track an order posted via Royal Mail recorded delivery (Signed For service), follow these steps:

  1. Click here
  2. Click the Tracking tab
  3. Add the tracking code (with no spaces) and see the results.

Do you claim for lost / undelivered orders and refund me?
NO, as we will have fulfilled our obligation of shipping the order to your customer via the method you have selected on the shopping cart. We will supply you with the relevant Proof Of Postage information and you will need to make the claim from Royal Mail.

If the parcel is returned to us for whatever reason (for instance, it may not have been collected by the customer from the post office, an incorrect postcode or delivery address may have been used, or the item may have been refused by the customer or returned by the customer) we will let you know.
